Business Traveler Behavior And Attitudes
One in five Americans takes at least one business trip a year. Business travel and business travelers are both mature ? the typical traveler is 47 years old. What's more, 39% of US business travelers are women. The volume of Bookers ? people who buy their business travel online ? grew to 41% of US online business travelers. Clearly, technology remains important to business travelers, though technology for technology's sake won't do. Business travel technology must make travelers' lives easier by essentially disappearing into the background. That's especially true for road warriors, who take seven or more business trips a year and account for 23% of the market. Business travelers insulate themselves with entertainment devices both at home and on the road. Use of corporate booking engines ? once hailed as a revolutionary technology application ? appears to have stagnated.
